Changing Outlook Express Settings:

So you’ve purchased a domain name, and now that you have you@yourname.com, you’d like the email you send to reflect it, right?  The following will show you how to configure Outlook Express to display the correct information when sending an email.   On your computer be sure to replace “Your Name” and you@yourname.com with your email information.  These are only examples.

Step 1 :

Open Outlook Express and Select “Tools” from the menu bar.  Select “Accounts” from the pull-down menu.

Step 2:

Click on the "Mail" tab at the top.  Highlight your account name (in this case “Charter”) and click the “Properties” button on the right.

Step 3:

In the “Properties” window ("General" Tab) you will see a “Name” field, an “E-mail address” field and a “Reply address” field.  The "Name" field should display your name as you commonly use it.  Change the "Email address" to use your new domain, such as "you@yourname.com" .  The reply address should be the same.  That’s it!  Press "Apply", then "OK" and close all windows.  Now when you send an email it will show up coming from you@yourname.com.
