Configuring Your Computer To Update
Automatically (Windows XP)
Step 1:
On your desktop,
right-click "My Computer". Highlight "Properties" and left-click.
This
will bring up a "System Properties" window which will allow you to
customize your computer.
Step 2:
Select the "Automatic
Updates" tab at the top of the window. Make sure you check the box before
"Keep my computer up to date...". In the "Settings" section, select the
method of automatic downloading you prefer. We recommend selecting the
middle option, "Download the updates automatically and notify me when they
are ready to be installed". This option will utilize time when you aren't
doing anything to check with Microsoft for updates, then it will download
them automatically.

it! Now your computer is configured to automatically update!
